When a Chicago staffing firm needed to open a new office location in the West Loop and had less than a month to get it move-in ready, who did they turn to? Rightsize.
Partnering first with the commercial real estate broker, Newmark Knight Frank, Rightsize’s workplace solutions team test fit the space and created a preliminary budget to maximize the use of the tenant improvement (TI) allowance.
“We began the process with space planning for their headcount today as well as considering future growth,” said Jessica McCambridge, workplace solutions director and Chicago team leader for Rightsize. “We had to ensure that the final design plans and furniture selection gave them the functionality they needed, plus the ability to purchase matching furniture in the future.”
In addition to needing a quick turnaround, the client wanted the space to be clean, bright, and most important, feature sit-to-stand desks to promote health and wellness in the workplace.
Rightsize utilized a BLENDED SOLUTION to outfit the reception space, phone/interview rooms, and conference rooms, as well as the open office area utilized by staff. Maverick and Friant were selected as the primary vendors along with a selection of pre-owned and refurbished office furniture.
Friant Beam benching systems with lighter toned fabrics were chosen for the open office area. Traditional black OFC Modin task chairs were selected; and preowned Herman Miller mobile storage units with blue cushion tops were chosen to add a vibrant “pop” of color.
“The final design plans and furniture selection gave the client the functionality they needed out of the workspace, plus the ability to add on matching furniture in the future as they grow,” added McCambridge.
The project was successfully completed on time and within budget. Click here to see a photo gallery of the open office.
