With two decades of experience, Rightsize Facility ensures a smooth workplace transition by being a single-source solution for all services related to space planning, furniture procurement, delivery and installation, relocation, facility decommissioning, and ancillary project services.

2004
Mason Awtry founds Rightsize Facility Performance in Dallas, Texas. Rightsize’s first assignment, the decommissioning of more than 3.0 million square feet of Enron office space throughout the U.S. on behalf of Chevron/Texaco, quickly followed.
2005

March 2005
Rightsize relocates to 900 square feet of office space in Chicago’s South Loop.



September 2005
Rightsize expands to 10,000 square feet of office and warehouse space – the first of several expansions in Chicago.

2006
Rightsize expands again to 85,000 square feet.

2007

November 2007
Rightsize expands yet again – this time to 330,000 square feet.



March 2007
Recognizing a need for new, high quality, affordable office furniture Awtry launches Chicago Office Furniture, a proprietary line of new import-grade seating, case goods, and conference and reception furniture, available at or below contract-grade prices.

2008
Rightsize begins offering remanufacturing services.

2009
Awtry launches Office Furniture Center, the brand name behind Rightsize’s e-commerce and showroom offerings, featuring pre-owned, refurbished and new office furniture.

2010
Rightsize purchases a 150,000 square-foot facility in Chicago, which becomes its new distribution center, remanufacturing facility and operational office.
2013
Rightsize opens new Chicago sales and design center to better service its business partners and corporate accounts located in the downtown area.
2014

February 2014
Rightsize joins Chicago Bisnow at Creative Office Summit, discussing how new companies are setting up shops that are focused on productivity and not necessarily following the open-office trend.



May 2014
Rightsize announces acquisition of the assets of Modern Office Interiors, Inc., an independently operated office furniture dealership based on Naperville, and expands footprint in Chicago suburban market.



June 2014
Rightsize expands its reach with a new partnership with Global – The Total Office, a North American manufacturer of affordable office furniture for the corporate, healthcare, education and hospitality markets.



July 2014
Rightsize is among the first group of companies to participate in World Business Chicago’s Chicago Anchors for a Strong Economy (CASE) capacity building program.



September 2014
Rightsize sponsors the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo in Chicago and presented on workplace strategies that enhance employee performance, health and wellness.

Rightsize acquires the assets of Chicago-based start up, Quality Installation Services, which provided the delivery, installation and decommissioning of commercial office furnishings throughout the Midwest.



October 2014
Rightsize is the 2014 Presenting Sponsor for the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Crain’s Small Business Week, highlighted by a full week of educational programming and networking for the local business community.



November 2014
Rightsize expands into Milwaukee metro region

2015
Rightsize launches presence in the Greater Detroit Area with the opening of its new Michigan Sales and Design Center in Southfield, Michigan.

2016
Rightsize introduces new brand identity, logo and website.

2017
Rightsize hits a milestone of 40,000 projects successfully completed and generates the most revenue in its history.
2018
Rightsize released VisionFX 2.0, a new version of its pioneering 3-D rendering mobile app. VisionFX 2.0 includes enhanced features such as overhead perspectives of an entire office space, upgraded graphics and improved scalability.
2019
Rightsize reached a milestone with more than 50,000 office expansion, relocation and downsizing projects completed.
2020
Rightsize launched an ecommerce platform to sell ‘work from home’ set-ups directly to consumers, prompted by the pandemic.
2021
Rightsize was selected as a 2021 Honoree for the Daily Herald Business Ledger’s Annual Awards for Business Excellence.
2022
Rightsize has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing over 85,000 office expansion, relocation, and downsizing projects. Moreover, the organization opened a new showroom and office in Michigan.
2023

January 2023
Rightsize launched a new industrial racking division after signing a distribution agreement with Interlake Mecalux, one of the leading materials handling product manufacturers worldwide.



July 2023
Rightsize's CEO Mason Awtry was selected as a 2023 Crain's Chicago Notable Leader in Sustainability.



December 2023
We successfully completed over 100,000 office expansion, relocation, and downsizing projects nationwide.
