Pioneers of Decommissioning
In February 2004, CEO Mason Awtry drew inspiration from his military family upbringing as he envisioned what would become Rightsize Facility. At that time, the term “decommissioning” primarily referred to nuclear facilities and military equipment, but Mason saw something bigger. As a result, Rightsize Facility became the Pioneers of Decommissioning in Commercial Real Estate.
Rightsize’s first assignment was decommissioning more than 3 million square feet of office space In Houston, Texas.
Choice of Iconic Brands
Rightsize Facility has decommissioned more than 115 million square feet of space and is growing everyday becoming the choice of iconic brands nationwide.
Eco-Friendly Decommissioning
At Rightsize, we lead with a dedication to eco-friendly decommissioning and landfill diversion. Using our proven process, we return every workspace to its original, broomswept condition. Rather than sending assets to a landfill, we resell or repurpose all FF&E assets. Furthermore, any assets without resale value are either disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations or donated to not-for-profit organizations. Thanks to this approach, less than 5% of FF&E assets ever reach a landfill.
