THE STORY
Objective
SHFT partnered with Rightsize Facility to create a healing-focused environment for their new two-story behavioral health clinic, one that would support both routine and urgent mental health services. Their goal was to achieve an Organic Modern aesthetic that felt calm, restorative, and emotionally supportive from the moment patients entered the space. The client sought an atmosphere that balanced professionalism with warmth, ensuring patients felt safe, grounded, and at ease throughout their visit, while also uplifting the daily experience of the staff who support them.
Design Solution
Guided by the client’s vision, Rightsize crafted a soothing, Organic Modern interior centered around soft neutrals, understated textures, and clean, welcoming forms. Every design decision, from plush fabrics and rounded silhouettes to natural materials and muted palettes, was made to reduce stress and promote comfort. On the second floor, the focus shifted to staff wellness, with the creation of rejuvenating spaces including a kitchen and lounge, yoga studio, flexible meeting zone, and personal storage. Together, these environments provide a sense of calm for patients while giving staff the supportive, restorative spaces they need to thrive in high-demand roles.
Desired Outcome
The finished clinic delivers a serene, restorative environment that aligns seamlessly with SHFT’s mission to provide compassionate mental health care. By integrating Organic Modern design principles with intentional furniture selections and wellness-focused amenities, the space fosters emotional ease, safety, and connection. The second-floor staff-focused retreat further reinforces the organization’s commitment to whole-team well-being. The result is a thoughtfully balanced setting that supports healing, enhances daily operations, and reflects SHFT’s dedication to nurturing both patients and employees.
