The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) recently unveiled a refreshed brand identity and a revitalized office at an opening ceremony celebration.

The NACC has an active membership of 1,200 organizations in the local area, and it promotes economic growth and fosters positive change in the region. Regularly hosting ribbon-cutting events for new and remodeled businesses in the community – this time around, he non-profit had the opportunity to commemorate its own achievement.

After months of renovation, the new office is complete, and ready to serve its members in a bold new way. The chamber also received the gold Hermes Creative Award for its rebranding initiative.

While the NACC was in the process of updating its brand identity, it partnered with Rightsize to refresh the look and layout of its office. Rightsize is a member business, and collaboration on this project was an ideal opportunity to support the chamber of commerce in its goals to drive new membership initiatives, and attract top talent to its team.

“Rightsize came along at the right time,” said Nicki Anderson, President and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “We knew that we were going to rebrand, and part of that rebranding meant that we had to create an office space that was forward-thinking and innovative. Rightsize helped us to achieve this.”

Rightsize’s proximity allowed for seamless and ongoing communication and planning for the project. Members of the NACC staff visited a local showroom to explore furniture options, and Rightsize’s workplace solutions managers also toured the chamber’s office to visualize the space, understand the needs of the team, before making recommendations.

“Our team worked closely with NACC to determine the layout, aesthetic and furnishings as we worked to brighten and modernize the space,” said Lynn Patterson, Workplace Solutions Manager. “When our designer presented drawings and images of how the office could look, they were so excited, and got a lot of buy-in from all their team members.”

Before the rebranding, the 5,800 square-foot office featured workstations in heavy, bulky wood that blocked natural light and made the space feel cramped and outdated. Rightsize replaced these with refurbished Herman Miller Ethospace workstations in a white finish, creating an airy, open workspace that transformed the environment. The reception area was installed with a coordinating Herman Miller Ethospace desk in the same finish as the workstations. Rightsize also converted a private office into a collaboration space with a small conference table equipped with chairs, a perfect gathering spot for employees.

“They were thrilled at the light and the overall brightness of the space,” said Patterson. “The renovation gave their team a chance to clean house a little bit, decluttering and getting a fresh start.”

The renovated office reflects the chamber of commerce’s role as a forward-thinking economic leader. It allows for flexibility and innovation, two important values of the chamber.
