What is the thought behind your workplace design? This flooring systems company in Schaumburg, IL sought to show off their company colors while reevaluating the use of space in their office.
“They desired to incorporate the business’s branding elements into the work space and to create a more collaborative environment,” Jessica McCambridge, Workplace Solutions Director of Rightsize Facility, said about the company’s goals for the project.
The overall design utilized hybrid Herman Miller and Friant workstations to create segmented but open areas in which to work. Plenty of storage was made available with refurbished filing from Office Furniture Center and SitOnIt Wit Mesh seating provided support to increase comfort and productivity. The design was completed with an assortment of colorful and modern lounge seating.
Previously, the business didn’t have their own office space; instead they shared space at their parent company’s corporate office. With plans for the office in motion, the flooring company’s executives chose to move into the interior areas of this space so that the employees could share the window lines. To further inspire their team, the office worked together to create the words and design for the feature wall in their reception area. “Creating the wall was a group effort and everyone had input,” McCambridge said.
