THE STORY
Objective
Rightsize Facility and Verus Development partnered to update the common areas of Oxford Pointe, an 85,000 sq. ft. office building in Southfield, MI. The primary goal was to refresh and modernize the dated finishes throughout the building’s shared spaces, including the lobby, corridors, elevators, elevator lobbies, café, and conference center. The aim was not only to enhance the visual appeal but to create a welcoming and functional environment that would attract new tenants to the property.
Design Solution
Rightsize Facility worked closely with Verus Development to select updated flooring, finishes, furniture, accent walls, and acoustic elements. These elements were chosen not only to enhance the aesthetic appeal but also to improve the functionality and comfort of the common areas. Special attention was given to noise control with the inclusion of acoustic features, and the café and conference center were designed to be versatile hubs for social interaction and productivity, offering an appealing mix of form and function.
Desired Outcome
The end result was a transformed space that now serves as a key selling point for the building’s leasing team. The updated common areas present a modern, polished, and cohesive aesthetic, aligning with contemporary design trends while enhancing comfort and functionality. The refreshed spaces are more inviting to prospective tenants, making Oxford Pointe a more attractive property in the competitive commercial real estate market. The improvements are designed to help Verus Development and the leasing team secure new tenants by showcasing a vibrant, updated environment that supports both work and leisure needs, positioning the property as move-in ready for businesses looking for a dynamic and professional office setting.
