GlobeSt. covers Rightsize's Wisconsin expansion

MILWAUKEE— Rightsize Facility Performance, an office interiors and facilities services firm which  helps corporate clients transform or decommission their offices, has just hired  Lou Kowieski as vice president – Wisconsin market leader, to lead the firm’s expansion into the Milwaukee metro region.

“Lou’s hire is one more step in our plan for strategic growth in key regions across the US,” says Rightsize president and founder Mason Awtry. “His leadership and experience are a welcome addition to the firm and I’m certain he will successfully expand our brand and platform of services in Wisconsin.”

As reported in GlobeSt.com, the Chicago-based company has completed several major acquisitions this year and expanded into other parts of the Midwest. In May the company acquired the assets of Modern Office Interiors, Inc., an independently-owned and family-operated contract office furniture dealership based in Naperville, IL. And just recently it acquired the assets of Quality Installation Services, a Chicago-based start-up that delivers, installs and decommissions commercial office furnishings in the Midwest. Several QIS employees joined Rightsize including former principal Andrew Dale, who oversees sales efforts in the greater Indianapolis market.

Rightsize operates a 200,000-square-foot showroom at 5000 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Chicago, a design studio and sales office in River North, and provides workstations, desks, seating, file cabinets, conference and reception furniture, as well as continuing to take on decommissions, furniture buybacks and deliveries. It decommissioned about 3-million-square-feet in 2013.

Rightsize has so far served Midwest companies with its “Design/Furnish” model, which combines interior designs and furniture procurement. But the move into Milwaukee marks the debut of the firm’s “Design/Build/Furnish” platform. The company has formed a strategic alliance with Pewaukee, WI-based VJS Construction to provide these services. Kowieski will oversee the rollout while also leading a team of design experts.

“Rightsize Facility Performance is a well-respected, successful organization committed to providing the highest level of customer service,” says Kowieski. “I am looking forward to leveraging my skills and network to grow the business in the Milwaukee area.”

Kowieski has 18 years of experience and joins Rightsize from Creative Business Interiors in Milwaukee where, for the past nine years, he served as an account executive specializing in interior commercial design, furniture and construction. Before that he served as the director of commercial services at Graebel Companies for eight years.
