Need to furnish your new office? Look no further

Whether it's a plush office no longer needed after a corporate merger, a law firm reducing its once-sprawling space, or high-walled cubicles giving way to an open floor plan, one thing never changes in the office world: change.

Evolution—or revolution, in many cases—brings opportunities and challenges for companies that specialize in the full cycle of office furnishings: gutting old spaces, refurbishing what can be salvaged, and designing and filling new digs with chairs, desks, lamps, cabinets, shelves and whatever else is needed for a 2010s workplace.

“Over the course of time, different industries are either growing or shrinking,” says Mason Awtry, 38, founder and president of Rightsize Facility Performance. “You'll always have startups chomping at the heels of the established companies. All of that results in transition. It's on that transition that we really thrive...”
